By downloading, installing, or using the Sobrius application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

Sobrius is a sobriety tracking application designed to help users track their recovery journey. The App provides features including but not limited to:

  • Sobriety time tracking
  • Daily check-ins and mood tracking
  • Journaling capabilities
  • Crisis support tools and emergency resources
  • Community features
  • Analytics and insights

3. Important Health Disclaimer

Sobrius is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The App is intended as a supportive tool for recovery, not a replacement for professional addiction treatment, therapy, or medical care.

Always seek the advice of qualified health providers with any questions regarding addiction, recovery, or mental health. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or tracked in this App.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately.

4. User Accounts

You may use certain features of the App without creating an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Providing accurate and current information

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass, bully, or harm other users in the community features
  • Post content that is offensive, threatening, or promotes substance abuse
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
  • Use the App to distribute malware or other harmful code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the App

6. Community Guidelines

If you participate in community features, you agree to:

  • Be respectful and supportive of other users' recovery journeys
  • Not share content that glorifies or encourages substance use
  • Keep others' information confidential
  • Report any content that violates these guidelines
  • Understand that community features are peer support, not professional treatment

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

7. Premium Subscriptions

Sobrius offers optional premium features through subscription plans:

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date
  • Prices are subject to change with notice
  • Refunds are handled according to App Store/Play Store policies
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device settings

8. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Sobrius and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you create within the App (journal entries, posts, etc.). By using community features, you grant us a license to display your shared content to other users.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOBRIUS AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
  • Any damages resulting from reliance on the App for medical decisions
  • Any outcomes related to your recovery journey
  • Any content posted by other users in community features

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES ABOUT THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE APP.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sobrius and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason including breach of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Sobrius operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
